Tracing the Quiet Force Behind My Work

The force behind my work is not urgency. It’s not ambition, and it is not fear of being left behind. It is quieter than all of that, and more demanding. It is the slow pressure of obedience, forming since 1993, shaped by listening, and strengthened by restraint. Long before I understood what I was being prepared for, God was also teaching me how to wait without withdrawing and how to move without rushing,

All of what shapes my work now, was earned in seasons when nothing appeared to be happening. I was being taught to sit with questions without forcing answers, to hold truth without Immediately explaining it, and to trust that clarity comes when it is ready, not when it is convenient. The quiet force behind the work does not reward haste. it asks for attentiveness. It asks for faithfulness when no outcome is guaranteed.

The work continues on Substack.
