About the event
In celebration of National Poetry Month, join author Cynthia Jean Brown at Ederle Library for a Bone Honey Europe Tour 2027 book signing and literary experience. The event will feature selected readings from Bone Honey: Poems of Motherhood, Survival, and the Raising of Dry Bones, followed by a conversation about the collection’s creative journey, recurring imagery, Bone Tales, and porch-talk storytelling style.
Bone Honey explores motherhood, faith, survival, generational memory, and the stories the body carries. Drawing from memory, imagination, observation, inherited stories, and shared experiences, the collection moves through images of bone, marrow, honey, and resurrection.
Guests will also experience Literary Cartography through three interactive tour elements: the Map of Home, the Bone Honey Ledger, and the Bone Honey Passport. These activities invite participants to reflect on the places they have left, the memories they carry, and the places they have learned to call home.
