Bone Honey is a poetry collection that explores survival, inheritance, and spiritual residue through the language of the body. The poems move through themes of endurance, faith, single motherhood, and memory, treating bone as both structure and archive. Drawing on my Southern Black experience and a restrained lyric voice, the collection considers what sweetness remains after loss—what is gathered, preserved, and carried forward. Bone Honey situates the body as a site of testimony, where pain hardens into form and survival becomes a quiet, ongoing practice.
